The DBU series from INVT, is a dynamic braking unit that features a load that exhibits large inertia. Due to this, the momentum converts to electric energy during braking, resulting to the rise of the DC’s voltage. It is recommended for applications that involve rapid deceleration, positioning and braking. The DBU can be consumed as regenerative energy to avoid over-voltage fault from the inverter.
This unit is generally resistant to wear, with an IP20 protection level. With the capability for multiple noise filtering, its response time only takes less than 1ms.
