If you’re handling medie at high velocities or with entrained solids, we highly recommend you consider using smoothbore sleeves. These are made with PTFE and help to provide additional protection to the convolutions. These can be specified as either a loose or tight fit. A loose fit will help to avoid the sleeve constraining the bellows movement, while a tight fit will minimise the potential build up of solids in the convolutions. As standard, the spigot protrudes just beyond the end of the bellows when at maximum axial length, but this can be specified at time of order.
