Ball valves offer great economy and durability for a wide range of applications that do not require completely hygienic, cleanable-in-place (CIP) service. They are easy to install and maintain.

Ball valves operate by opening to allow flow or closing to shut-off flow within a pipeline by way of a fitted ball inside the valve body with PTFE seats. Through the floating position of the ball, in closed position a movement into the flow direction becomes possible providing for optimum sealing in the passage (2 and 3).
There are three ball valve designs:
Standard – with handle without feedback – ball movement performed manually with handle
With handle and bracket for feedback – ball movement performed manually with handle
Controlled by pneumatic actuator – actuate ball movement with air connection at (1) and reset by spring force
