The mechanical tension meter DXE with small measuring head for applications where access space is limited or where filaments run close together are mostly used in textile industry or in wire industry for thin wires. The hand-held unit is available in 6 tension ranges from 10 – 50 cN up to 200 – 2000 cN. The analog display shows changing and fluctuating tensions fast and enables an optimal process adjustment.

The ball bearing mounted, v-grooved guide rollers with excellent operating characteristics are available in different designs. The moveable outer guide rollers and the turned-up outer finger edges, that substitute the filament guide, make it easy to thread the material to be measured.

The tension meter can optionally be supplied with air damping to assure steady tension readings for applications in which great fluctuations of the measured tension occur or with memory pointer to retain the PEAK value. Built-in mounting holes on the backside of the rugged aluminium housing permit fixed installation for continuous tension measuring.
