The OCFM (one component foam measurement) device is designed for measuring the rise profile, rise pressure and reaction temperature of One Component Foam (OCF). This device consists of a cylindrical expansion container which is filled with the OCF froth and a holder used for putting the expansion container in precise position under the ultrasonic sensor.
The volume for testing of the container is confined within the walls of a narrow cardboard cylinder which has the measurement device at the bottom but is closed with a movable plug at the top. As the foam expands the movable plug is lifted towards the ultrasonic distance sensor. Meanwhile, the reaction temperature is measured with a thermocouple. The device can be made more complete by adding the meteorological station GFBT 200 which can be ordered as an additional option. Its detectors can measure ambient parameters such as humidity, air pressure and temperature.
