RPS-409A-IS is an intrinsically-safe device, an analog ultrasonic sensor that includes various advanced features that will turn any application into a successful one. The item is powered by 16-30VDC, benefiting from reverse polarity protection. Note that the item also comes with a narrow beam angle, enabling the product to get into tight places. The flat target is able to tilt up to 10 degrees and still be detected.

The RPS-409A-IS comes with short circuit protection for an analog output of 0-10VDC, while the output is a linear .125 volts per inch. The target is placed 10″ away from the sensor and will result in an output of 1.25V. The target can be placed 80″ from the sensor and will result in a 10V output. The item comes with built-in compensation for temperature, providing accurate readings throughout the entire operating temperature range. Finally, the LED indicator provided is green when nothing is detected
