The Odyssey 480 Generator is a high performance voltage controlled wound field generator which can be used in a variety of applications such as: vehicle air conditioning, pumps, blowers or specialty vehicles. In addition, these can be used in transportation applications where power is needed along with variable speed and constant voltage. An advantage with a wound field rotor and on-board controller is it allows for variable speed and loading while maintaining a constant voltage output. Wound field also allows for a safe shutoff in case of a generator fault.
