A panel indicator is used in control and regulation technology to display measured values or states. In the simplest case, the panel indicator shows the temperature measured by a temperature sensor. The panel indicator is available in different versions. Depending on the model, the panel indicator can measure temperatures, standard signals (0 … 10 V / 0/4 … 20 mA), pulse signals, mains voltages, etc. The display of the measured value on the panel indicator is usually on an LED display.
