Outdoor telecommunications cabinets (OTC) are designed to accommodate, ensure the autonomous operation and protect the telecommunications equipment installed inside the cabinet from the environmental exposure at any time of the year. OTC provide uninterrupted power supply to the following systems: wireless communication, cable TV, digital cable lines and wireless networks. Cabinets are designed so that the equipment to be installed inside of them must comply with ETSI 19 standards with an increment of sizes in height of 1U (equal to 44.45 mm) according to GOST 28601.1.
Cabinets meet the requirements for low-voltage assemblies (LWA), they are designed for installation in places accessible to unqualified personnel and exposed to adverse environmental conditions (solar radiation, wind, rain, snow, etc.)
Typical operating conditions of cabinets:
– ambient operating temperature range: from -50°С to +60 °С
– relative humidity up to 100% at 25 °C;
– atmospheric pressure 86,6-106,7 kPa (from 650 to 800 mm Hg);
– placement of cabinets on the site of operation – stationary;
– operating mode of the cabinets – long-run, continuous.
Outdoor telecommunication cabinets in standard configuration consist of a metal shell that provides a high degree of break-in protection, modular or rack-mounted input and distribution devices, the microclimate system providing optimal temperature and humidity conditions for the equipment installed in the cabinet, the monitoring and alarm system observing the state of the cabinet and the equipment installed in it.
