Multiple Versatile Configurations

Spire offers various automation options for the Spi-Sun Simulator for crystalline and thin film (framed or frameless) modules.

Spire’s automated conveyor options allow testing module performance according to Class A specifications (IEC 60904-9 and ASTM E927-05). The conveyor is specially designed to prevent shading across the test plane which maintains accurate data for current and voltage, including Pmax.

The Spi-Sun Simulator automated options provide:

High and sustained throughput
Efficient module alignment, transport, probing and testing
Convenient integration into module assembly lines
Reduced handling requirements
Delicate touch on module materials and safe testing
ASTM, IEC or UL testing requirements (optional)

QA Module – Multiple Measurement System

The QA post-lamination hi-pot station is configurable for crystalline (x-Si) or thin film modules. The module is conveyed onto the simulator sunny-side down with delicate touch on module materials.

Furthermore, the hi-pot station can be equipped with two options:

Ground Continuity (GC) for framed modules
Label Printer/Applicator
