Indumart ITP215Current to Pressure (I/P) Converter produces a pressure output signal directly proportional to its 4-20 mAcurrent input. Premium grade and precision electronic components are used throughout this instrument to assure excellent accuracy, high reliability and stable long life.
The IPT215 SeriesI/PConverters are based on a force balance system, in which a coil is suspended in the field of a magnet by a flexure. Current flowing through the coil generates axial movement of the coil and the flexure. The flexure moves against the end of a nozzle and creates a back pressure in the nozzle by restricting the air flow passing through it. This back pressure acts as a pilot pressure to an integral booster relay and by altering the input (mA) signal the output pressure will vary proportionally.
The converter is supplied for 3…15 psi or 0.2~1 bar output as standard. But it can be ordered for a variety of other output pressure ranges. The zero and span (Z&P) adjustments are accessible from outside of the instrument. Using the Z&Padjustments, it can be calibrated by the user for a span as low as 5 psi (examples: 3…8 psi, 3..12 psi, 4…10 psi, 10…15 psi, 0.2~0.6 bar, 0.6~1 bar, etc.) or it can be adjusted to have a 3…15 psi output for an input span as low as 8 mA(4…12 mAor 12…20 mA) . Moreover, the action of the converter may be reversed at the site. In the reverse acting, the output is the opposite of the direct acting mode; for 4…20 mAinput, the output will be 15…3 psig.
Since the Series ITP215converter is light weight, it may be mounted in-line and supported by the rigid pipes used for its air supply and output.
