The SES70 Intelligent Earthquake Sensor can estimate the damage caused by earthquake motion. It calculates and outputs special intensity (SI) values, Japanese earthquake scale (shindo) equivalent values (which are estimated values of structural damage), and maximum resultant acceleration from the acceleration signal output from the built-in 3-axis high-accuracy servo accelerometer.
Additionally, it can determine and output ground liquefaction status from the acceleration waveform characteristics.
