The 12-inch 9U type 12R2 is used for managing ground and ship applications with a front load card orientation to use the space more intelligently, while keeping cooling charges intact. It is made with VPX, MicroTCA, VME and CPCI setups as well as with a 500 to 1200 watt PSU and AC or DC input. Custom I/O panels are also available, and the units sports in depths of 22 and 25 inches and can hold 20 front-loaded cards.
The unit has an airflow that manages high volume fans and up to 25G shock inputs to less than 10Gs on a card cage. The materials and design bodies work for MIL-STD standards, and the unit itself comes in a pre-assembled and wired body to ensure it is active and ready for use.
