The KRP+ design is intended for racks and pinions drive applications, and based around using a single unit, or two parallel mounted top quality planetary reducers, installed on the machine’s main frame. When this model is utilized as a SingleDRIVE it represents an excellent solution for high performance rack & pinion drive systems, due to a very stiff feed gearbox. The mechanical preload solution acts as a DualDRIVE unit, eliminating backlash due to torsional winding of one pinion against the other, via rack. This solution allows the use of only one motor, simplifying motor control. The Electrical preload option acts like TwinDRIVE unit, canceling backlash due to opposite torque balance between the two pinions, according to remote control of drive and two motors.
