The Compact Pilot freeze dryer offers the functions and capabilities of a pilot freeze dryer with a useful surface of 0.6m² and a 15-kg trap at -85°C. It is extremely compact. It also has shelves in which a heat-exchange fluid circulates. The temperature can be varied from -60°C to +60°C. This is a very compact freeze dryer. Its trap has a 2-stage cooling system with a minimum temperature of -85°C and is separated from the sublimation chamber. A large-bore DN80 pneumatic valve can be installed. An air-cooled condenser removes the heat isolated by the cooling circuit without need for cooling water. The rectangular sublimation chamber is 375 mm wide, 550 mm high and 420 mm deep. It is equipped with 6 shelves 280 mm wide and 360 mm deep, an area of 1000 cm². There is also an upper radiant shelf. The shelves are adjustable. There is 70 mm of usable height between them if they are evenly spaced. The gap between shelves is easily changed by moving the support pins. This makes it possible to accommodate taller containers by increasing shelf spacing. The dryer is operated by an internal control card via lyophilization software developed over many years by CRYOTEC. This offers the same functional flexibility and the same ease of use as the Pilot freeze dryer. It can be equipped with a manual vacuum plugging system for lyophilization in flasks or vials.
