The Heavy-duty range of LICATproduction for Zero-backlash gearbox with double preloaded pinion, is suitable for heavy-duty size of Machine Tools, such Gantry, Double gantry, boring, milling and grinding machinery. We apply specific high technology solutions and design improvements, able to extend the life of the transmission, reliability and performance of Customer equipment, such:
-Preload system controlled and set externally, for easy adjustability and handling during assembly and dis-assembly operations; increased axial setting stroke, able to guarantee a real “zero backlash” even with the machine being substantially out of pitch line
-External housing made in cast iron casing instead of welded steel, able to guarantee extra rigidity, noise reduction, superior quality and easier machining
-Lubricating system by electrical pump, able to guarantee a correct oil flow during low speed working also
-Bearings with short bearing bench on axis, able to guarantee superior rigidity, reliability, less flex under heavy load; all bearings lubricated by oil instead of grease, able to improve system reliability and avoid risk of contact and contamination between oil and grease (i.e. in case a seal becomes damaged)
