The SB-5500 series is a newly enhanced balancer control platform from SBS. The unit is applicable for all grinding equipment.

The SB-5500 family includes options for a large resolution display, digital electronic framework, multiple communication choices, four-channel capability and 24V DC or universal input AC power supply.

The control is modular, and the 4 channels can be configured as:

*SB-5512 card: Contact type balance head
*SB-5532 card: Non-Contact type balance head
*SB-5544 card: Manual balancing
*SB-5518 card: Hydrokompenser coolant fluid balancer
*SB-5522 card: Acoustic Emission Monitoring System (AEMS) for grinding
*SB-5560 card: Advanced grinding process control system

Multiple channels and grinding machines can be controller simultaneously.

The SB-5500 control can utilise the SBS IVIS Interactive Visualisation Software for machines running MS Windows for example on PCU’s.

Older SB-2500 and SB-4500 balancer controls can be easily upgraded to the SB-5500 series.
