The Aflow, manufactured by Zwick, is an extrusion plastometer that is designed for laboratories with high testing volumes. It is used to measure the melt mass flow rate and melt volume flow rate to Methods A, B, C, and D. It has a solid construction which provides an easy and convenient operation. It also adheres to various standards including ISO 1133 and ASTM D1238.

This plastometer provides an operator-independent test sequence. It has an automatic parameter control which is adjustable to test loads up to 50 kg. It has a fast residual material extrusion after test with 80 kg of force. It also delivers a constant pre-compacting and cleaning with a simple push of a button. Furthermore, the plastometer can be connected through USB with its testXpert® II.
