The iMS is a contactless magnetic measuring system that depends on scanning magnetically coded measuring tape through a magnet-sensitive sensor. It is recommended for use in detecting linear and radial positions. With its insensitivity to contamination due to liquids, dust and greases, a protective benefit is offered. It may be used as a substitute for other systems.
This measuring system has a measuring head with sensor in a stable casing. It also provides two channels with difference mode incremental RS 422, or a SIN/COS sensor with difference mode analogue 1VSS. The magnetic tape is included on its self-adhesive bearer tape, which is made of stainless steel material.
The system also features an incremental or digital resolution, with good repeatability rates.
