The Defender IM2 Impact Monitor provides small to medium lift truck fleets with a realistic approach to reducing damage costs and improving operator safety. Designed for easy integration and lasting success the system utilizes industry leading 16 G notification on the accelerometer with units of 0.5 to properly capture the weight per unit mass sensitivity of all applications. The system is engineered to provide information not ‘interruption’ and links operator usage to recorded impacts in real time. Acting like a ‘black box’ on an airplane it provides management and safety stakeholders the ability to access that data when needed to investigate or promote safe driving. Also unique to the Defender IM series is the two-tier safety notification design that allows for companies to give warning thresholds to drivers in advance, providing a tool to eliminate damage or un-safe situations before they happen.
The system is easily installed in 1 to 1.5 hours and connects to any lift truck. Once installed, a simple setup process includes programming operator IDs and setting the accelerometer to acknowledge the damage threshold of a specific application. The system is designed to be fully supportable by the end user to allow for complete versatility in any application fast and with little effort.
IVDT offers both audible and visual notifications, as well as safety check and utilization options to create more visibility into an operation.
