Automatic winder for foam materials up to 1700mm of width with cutting of various thicknesses of foam

FAP has studied a specific reeling system “SOFT WINDING” which permits to have a full controlled tension among the reel coils, to obtain the same thickness of the internal and external spires of the roll controlling the post expansion and helping the right stabilization of the material.

The two-axis winder is fully automatic with double cutting arms.
Two expandable steel shafts for cardboard cores are mounted on the winding axis, controlled by DC motors mounted on the axis. The pressure roller and the cutting unit allow automatic change between the finished reel and empty one.
The cutting system (thickness foam 0.8 – 10 mm) is made with a toothed blade. The change operation can be performed either manually or automatically, by choosing the desired length in meters on a meter counter.

Optional units can be added to the automatic winding process:

the system to glue cardboard core
the longitudinal cutting and pre-cutting units
the automatic trolley to load cardboard cores and unload material
