Thermowells are generally used where they remain in the measured medium and only the temperature sensor is to be replaced or retrofitted or the measured media must not touch the temperature sensor directly. Thermowells also provide protection against mechanical stress.

Labom thermowells are manufactured according to national standards or to customer specifications. The corresponding Labom dial thermometers and temperature measuring transmitters are optimally adapted to them in metrological terms.
