The LH Hybrid Series is a specialist 4-axis machine which combines the measurement principles of metrology and the flexibility of a coordinate measuring machine. Equipped with an integrated rotary table, a retractable tailstock and a WENZEL WMC controller, shafts and rotationally symmetrical parts as well as prismatic parts can be measured quickly and precisely with an LH Hybrid.

Two sizes of LH bridge machines have been adapted to incorporate a retractable tailstock to allow long shafts to be measured on the rotary table. With the tailstock retracted, large rotationally symmetrical parts up to 2,600mm can be measured.

The baseplate and guides of the linear axes are made of granite ensuring identical thermal behavior of the complete measuring system. For highest precision, air bearings are used in all axes. The system is self-contained and normally does not require a foundation.

LH Hybrid machines are suited to customers who manufacture large diameter rotationally symmetrical parts, shafts and who also machine prismatic parts.
