ALTERNATING CURRENT BOARDS
The alternating current board or the auxiliary board (AB) is intended for distribution of electricity to several lines feeding substation’s auxiliary consumers. In addition, the alternating current board supplies 0,4 kV to consumers located in close proximity to the substation.
Auxiliary boards provide:
– Receiving the AC power;
– Distribution of electricity among consumers;
– Protection of consumers and outgoing lines from short-circuit and overload currents with the help of automatic switches;
– Automatic inclusion of the automatic throw-over circuit-breaker in case of voltage loss at one of the inputs.
AB’s are assembled in PrismaPlusP, Triline-R, Rittal, Sarelcabinets, etc. Suitable for both unilateral and bilateral maintenance.
The ABdesign provides for the installation of automatic switches with a manual drive, an extended handle, an electric remote drive. Main and sectional circuit breakers, which are usually used, can be of draw-out, feeder plug-in and fixed types. The circuit breakers are equipped with additional emergency contacts and a position contact (on / off) for dispatching.
