Drivers SMD‑4.2mini V2.1 were designed for work with stepper motors NEMA34 size with maximum current per phase 4.2 Amp (SM8680). Stepper motors SM8680 with integrated drivers are ready for work compact stepper drive.
Newest circuit boards are used in the design of this renewed version of drivers V2.1. These circuits provides an excellent dynamics of stepper motors, fast acceleration and sufficient torque at the highest speeds. Internal pulses generator makes it possible to control a stepper motor without using of any external signal sources.
Control methods:
Pulse position control (STEP/DIR)
Analog speed control (by potentiometer)
The main parameters of tiny built-in stepper driver SMD‑4.2mini V2.1
Power supply – 24 ‑ 48 VDC
Microstepping mode – 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32, 1/64, 1/128
Range of pulse frequency of internal generator 70 – 1200 Hz
Additional features:
– Built-in brake resistor for operation with a high inertia load
– Possibility to connect external brake resistor
– Automatic switching between current phase control (performs higher torque and better dynamics) and voltage phase control (more smooth and silent operation)
– Microstepping up to 1/128 (1 – 1/16 – current phase control, 1/32 – 1/128 – voltage phase control)
– Holding current 75% – decreases automatically
– Possibility to invert a signal ENABLE in a pulse position control mode
