Laboratory pressure-driven filtration units are ready-to-use devices for laboratory use. They are designed for the clarification and/or sterile filtration of media and aqueous solutions in batches up to 10 L, either using a syringe for small volumes or in-line with a peristaltic pump, or a pressure vessel for larger volumes. Versions with a built-in prefilter maximize the throughput and the flow rate of the filter especially for the filtration of particulate-laden solutions.
Sartorius Sartolab® P20 Features
Membrane of Choice
Polyethersulfone (PES) is the membrane of choice for the Sartolab® P20 pressure filter units, as it combines very low protein binding properties with the highest flow rates. The Sartolab® P20 pressure filter unit is available either with 0.2 μm or 0.45 μm PES membranes, with or without a prefilter made of high purity quartz microfibers. An additional version containing quartz microfiber only is also available for clarification purposes.
Compact Design
Sartolab® P20 compact footprint with an outer diameter of 61 mm is the ideal product for laboratory use: Not too large to be used with a syringe but large enough with an effective filtration surface of 20 cm² to be used with a peristaltic pump, or a pressure vessel for the filtration of volumes of up to 10 liters.
Multiple Types
Sartolab® P20 pressure filter units are available in different pore sizes, sterile or non-sterile as well as in different configurations, with or without PTFE automatic venting, with or without a filling bell (including cover) on the outlet and with a combination of different inlet and outlet connectors to meet the needs of most applications.
