Chemical reactor

Electric Air Furnaces operation will have better efficiency when the source impedance of the EAF’s power supply is increased to enhance the melting process. Dry type reactors or buffer reactors are then connected in series to the primary side of the furnace transformer. These reactors are commonly tapped and usually covers a range of 40% to 100% of the rated impedance.
