Urethane molded gears provide excellent physical properties in a variety of applications. Urethane molded gears are more commercially available than injected plastic gears. Plan Tech specializes in re-engineering discontinued gears as well in high-performance replacement urethane gears for any application. Urethane molded gears are chemical and abrasion resistant with physical properties that outperform rubber and plastic gears.

Urethane gears are typically molded to print with no machine work necessary that often times cost the same as commercially available gears. We can handle any volume of urethane molded gears from 1 to 200k in any color or FDA requirement. Recently Plan Tech did a case study on an issue with an aftermarket injected gear vs the original oem gear. We also made our own custom blend of polyurethane that resulted with a tear strength 10 times greater than the aftermarket injected gear and 4 times better properties of the original equipment! Polyurethane molded gears can be manufactured in any profile needed and up to 4 feet in diameter with all types of additives!
